A lighting accessory for the living room, Soft Interiors balances light and textiles to show off their synergy in a dreamlike appeal and touch. This material proposition is the result of my graduation project in collaboration with Philips Research Eindhoven. 
Recording sound with a quilt?! This project is all about making design theory physical. In this case; design theory from PhD candidate Katharina Bredies about provoking original interpretation of designs by confusing. Project executed with the Design Research Lab of prof. Gesche Joost in Berlin. 
Jakob is a sofa with embedded in the armrest slots to record sounds. Jakob aims to create connectedness in busy families by creating a soft communication medium at the heart of the home. Prototype built in cooperation with design label ATTRACKZ. 
A digital interface prototype for communicating the collaboration of business partners in open innovation networks. This time not a physical design, but analyses and thought experiments about the businesses developing interactive products. 
Skôn is a one week exploration in electronics and textiles. What can be built that explores this union of materials? The hoodie acts as a variable resistor, with a bit of computing in between it regulates the light output of the front rim. 
How can you translate the value of a TV series in an interactive installation? In two weeks we made the hedonistic splurges of 60′s Mad Men into a full body experience in the Mad Men lounge. 
Creating electronic critters. In this one week module we made electronics come to life by crafting some basic responsiveness into their nuts and bolts. Can you make Luxo listen to you? 
Power to the masses! In this one week module we gave passer-by’s the opportunity to be big brother. We posted a giant periscope with a security cam in the top right outside the train station in Eindhoven. It triggered curiosity and provided food for thought. 
Bridging the digital and physical during meetings; the ShareView lamp lets you show your files and photos as easily as your print-outs and sketches. Project executed on internship in Lausanne with the CRAFT laboratory of the EPFL.
